Visit Wroxham
Wroxham is situated in eastern Norfolk, to the north-east of Norwich.
(Note that the part of the town across the River Bure from Wroxham is called Hoveton and both will be part of the same visit.)
Although it is the beach that attracts the crowds, be sure to find time to explore Woolacombe itself.
Visit Wroxham
In an attractive location on the riverside, it is activities on the river that dominate a visit to Wroxham, whether hiring a boat or taking a short pleasure cruise, and the town is well based for exploring the Norfolk Broads.
You can expect to see a wide range of river birdlife during your trip - but not necessarily peace and quiet - there are sometimes rather a lot of other boats on the river at the same time.
For land-lovers among you there is a wide choice of cafes and tea rooms, along with various shops (both gift shops and 'everyday' shops) to explore.
The town also has a church - the Church of Saint Mary (if you only have time to visit one church during your visit the one across the river at Hoveton is prettier....)
General note for boats: the bridge across the river at Wroxham has very little headroom and can be a challenge to pass - guides are on-hand to aid you (for a fee) if required.
You can find more local travel ideas in the Norfolk Broads guide and the Norfolk guide.
