Visit Seahouses
The village of Seahouses is located to the north of Alnwick and south-east of Bamburgh within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Although without any major attractions in itself, Seahouses is a very popular destination with visitors because of its location:
- It is well placed for exploring the Northumberland coast, with its numerous towns and villages, castles and other sights of interest
- Seahouses is the departure point for boats visiting the Farne Islands, a well known and highly regarded bird sanctuary, with a variety of excursions available in the harbour. The village also still has a small but active fishing fleet, produce available in the local restaurants and fish and chip shops..!
- There are a great number of the renowned sandy Northumberland beaches close to hand, offering miles of quiet areas for relaxation and enjoyment
You can find more local travel ideas in the Northumberland Coast guide and the Northumberland guide.
