The Lee tourist information
The Lee is a beautiful small village about 3 miles south-east of Wendover. It is in the county of Buckinghamshire in the beautiful Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty.
Visit The Lee
The Lee is a charming picture postcard village with a large village green surrounded by the beautiful brick houses with steeply sloping terracotta-tiled roofs and white leaded windows typical of the area.
On the edge of the village green is the large and magnificent Lee Manor, home to the Liberty family (owners of Liberty's department store in London).
The Lee has two very good country pubs. The Cock and Rabbit Inn sits on the village green in The Lee's conservation order and as well as the pub has a good Italian restaurant.
The Old Swan in Swan's Bottom is a lovely 16th century pub.
TV programmes filmed in Hambleden
The Lee's television appearances include quite a number of episodes of Midsomer Murders.
