Gorran Haven tourist information
Gorran Haven is a village on the coast of south Cornwall eight miles south of Saint Austell and a couple of miles to the south of Mevagissey.
A quiet village, the centre of Gorran Haven is a traditional Cornish village, with fishermens cottages around a quiet natural cove, backed by quiet streets lined with whitewashed houses and a village church.
The headlands that form the cove (Chapel Point, Maenease Point and Dodman Point) create an impressive backdrop and of course lovely opportunities for a coast walk - the views from the high vantage point at the end of Dodman Point are especially good.
Apart from its own picturesque qualities, the village is also visited for its close proximity to two beaches immediately next to Gorran Haven, with others such as Hemmick Beach (photo above) also close to hand.
