Fingest tourist information
Fingest is a small village about 6 miles from High Wycombe. It is in the county of Buckinghamshire in the beautiful Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty.
Visit Fingest
Fingest is a small, pleasant village dominated by its parish church and churchyard. The village pub, 'The Chequers' and a selection of very attractive medieval and Georgian houses surround the churchyard.
The church has a rare twin-gabled, square Norman tower and outside is rendered in a warm ochre shade where most churches in the Chilterns are either flint-covered or left in their natural brick or stone. It is a grade 1 listed building.
Behind the village sit the lovely Chiltern hills, often dotted with walkers hiking one of the many trails criss-crossing the Chilterns.
TV programmes filmed in Fingest
The Chequers Pub was re-invented as an antique shop in the 'Country Matters' episode of Midsomer Murders.
